Fear Builds Walls
In my opinion I believe the idea that “fear builds walls” is completely true. I agree with this statement because when you are scared of something, you restrict yourself from what you are able to do or from your goals. In most cases I wouldn’t agree with Pink Floyd but in this case I think they make a good point. For example, in a football game if the other team is ten tiems bigger than you and you go into the game with a losing record while the team you are playing is undefeated, you may be a bit nervous and not as motivated to play them. But you cannot let things get to you otherwise you will not be able to perform to the best of your ability. Thinking too much can also result in fear which can restrict you from accomplishing your goals. By thinking and thinking you create a wall of fear and the only way you can get over that wall is just by doing it. I know for me, fear does play a part in the things in what I do and the decisions that I make. Although that fear should not play a part in the decisions that I make, sometimes it is a good thing. In some cases fear plays a good role in the choices that are made. When you think what may happen if you are to steal something from a store or something like that, you start to reconsider which helps.
